{"id":12609,"date":"2024-06-11T08:36:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-11T07:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.urbaser.com\/2024\/06\/11\/urbaser-vende-negocio-en-reino-unido-a-fcc\/"},"modified":"2024-06-11T08:49:11","modified_gmt":"2024-06-11T07:49:11","slug":"urbaser-vende-negocio-en-reino-unido-a-fcc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbaser.com\/en\/urbaser-vende-negocio-en-reino-unido-a-fcc\/","title":{"rendered":"Urbaser completes the sale of its UK business to FCC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transaction completed on June 10 th , in-line with the envisaged timetable<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Madrid, June 11 th.<\/strong> The sale of  Urbaser&#8217;s  UK business to FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente (\u2018FCC SMA\u2019), a conglomerate dedicated to environmental services formed by the Spanish company FCC with 75.01% and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (\u2018CPPIB\u2019) with 24.99%, has been completed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transaction has been completed following the fulfilment of the conditions precedent to closing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Urbaser entered the UK market in 1998 and its business and operations have included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbaser.com\/en\/industrial-solutions\/waste-collection-and-transport\/\">waste collection,<\/a> recycling, treatment and street cleaning activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The divestment of the activities in the United Kingdom represents another step in the execution of Urbaser&#8217;s strategy. Urbaser continues increasing its focus and investment in strategic countries, offering the best environmental solutions to its clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barclays Bank Ireland PLC acted as financial advisor to Urbaser on the transaction.
