Purchasing products and materials is essential to providing quality service. That is why the Group has defined the internal policies necessary to manage its suppliers efficiently and responsibly.

In line with the Group’s Purchasing Policy, Urbaser has defined the internal policies necessary to manage its suppliers efficiently and responsibly throughout the entire selection and evaluation process. Likewise, a supplier “Pre-Portal” has been implemented to cover the Supplier Management Policy.

In 2017, Urbaser worked with a total of 18,561 suppliers, for a total purchasing volume of 769,445,795 Euro. Of these purchases, 96% made were local.

Where possible, Urbaser’s previously approved suppliers are chosen when purchasing products and materials that may affect the quality of the service provided, environmental conduct, or workplace safety.
